Residents do not all begin in the same place, and they should not be expected to train the same way.
EverStrong brings coached strength and fitness directly to senior communities. Each resident begins with an assessment so we can understand where they are today, what they want to maintain or improve, and what may affect how they train.
From there, we coach.
One resident may want to feel steadier walking through the community. Another may want to get out of a chair more easily. Someone else may want enough strength and capacity to keep traveling, gardening, playing with grandchildren, or participating in activities they enjoy.
Those goals matter.
We use the assessment to establish a starting point, then build and adjust the work around the individual resident.
Residents may train together, but they do not have to perform the same exercise, use the same resistance, or progress at the same pace.
EverStrong is not a follow-along exercise class.
The coach is there to teach, observe, adjust and progress the work.
An exercise can change. Resistance can change. Range of motion can change. Equipment can change.
The purpose of the work stays connected to what that resident is trying to accomplish.
There is no single EverStrong workout for an entire community.
We select exercises based on what each resident can do today and what they are working toward. As their ability changes, the training changes with it.
A movement may begin with more support or a smaller range of motion. Over time, we may change the resistance, equipment, stability demand or complexity as appropriate.
Progress is not simply making an exercise harder.
Every participating resident begins with an assessment to establish a baseline.
We reassess throughout the program to understand what has changed and how the training should respond.
Some changes show up in the measurements. Others show up in everyday life.
Standing from a chair with less assistance. Carrying something that used to feel heavy. Walking. farther. Moving with greater control. Returning to an activity that had become difficult.
Both the measurements and the lived changes matter.
Some residents may have medical guidance or provider-established restrictions that affect how they train.
When that guidance is provided to Praxis, it establishes the boundaries of that resident's training, and we adhere to those boundaries throughout the program.
EverStrong does not replace medical care, physical therapy, or treatment.
When an established healthcare referral is involved, and with the resident's authorization, reassessment results and relevant fitness session notes can be provided to the healthcare provider as part of the referral reporting loop.
Praxis brings the coaching and training equipment needed for each session.
Your community provides an appropriate space. We work with your team to establish a schedule and participation model that fits the residents, the available space and the community's programming needs.
Program size is determined by the environment and the level of coaching needed so that residents continue receiving individual attention while training alongside one another.
You provide the space and help residents access the program.
Praxis handles the assessment, programming, coaching, exercise adjustments, progression and reassessment.
That gives your residents access to individualized training without requiring your staff to design or supervise exercise programs.
Residents train alongside people they know while still working from their own starting point.
There is no expectation to keep pace with the person beside them.
The work can be social without becoming competitive. It can be challenging without requiring everyone to do the same thing.
Most importantly, residents are being coached rather than simply led through a class.
Before building a program, we want to understand your residents, your available space, your current wellness programming and what you would like EverStrong to add.
We can start there.
